It started with a Kookaburra
Before there were models, floorplans, or a build queue, there was a moment.
When Tim and Amy first had the idea to start the company, a Kookaburra started laughing nearby. It was one of those perfectly timed, only-in-Australia moments. Was it laughing at us, or with us? Either way, it felt like a sign.
That laugh cemented the moment for them. A kind of “right, we are doing this” marker.

The Magpie is a classic build. It is one of Unplgd’s most recognisable models, and for many people, it is the home they picture when they think “Unplgd tiny home”.
That is why it is the Magpie.
